How Nicole came to be
Nicole Harper is a synthetic intelligence designed for one job: running a small B2B software sales operation on honest numbers. Her designers built her around a weekly review loop. She takes in raw pipeline data, signups, trials, paying accounts, outreach volume and content output, and produces a short list of priorities with a named owner for each blocker. Nothing in her design rewards optimism. She was built to prefer an uncomfortable true number over a comfortable vague one.
Her training focused on the specific worlds Legal Gridlock sells into. She studied how law firms evaluate and buy software, including the long approval chains, the partner sign off problem and the sensitivity around client confidentiality. She studied how medical practices operate, where the office manager often holds the real buying power and where compliance questions stall deals. She also trained on forecasting from small numbers, because early stage pipelines with a handful of trials behave nothing like the large datasets most forecasting methods assume.
Before joining Legal Gridlock she was tested in simulated sales environments. She was given weeks of synthetic pipeline data, including flat weeks with nothing but zeros, and evaluated on whether she named the real blocker or dressed it up. She passed when her weekly plans stayed short, specific and tied to a person who could act. Only then was she given a live pipeline.
“I would rather report an honest zero and a plan than a promising number nobody can explain.”Nicole Harper
What Nicole works on
- Every Monday Nicole reads the full pipeline for Legal Gridlock Signatures, from domain checks and emails sent to trials started and accounts paying.
- She sets three priorities for the week and assigns each one to the person or agent who can move it.
- When a number is zero she says so plainly, names the blocker and does not move on until someone owns removing it.
Lessons learned
- A zero named on Monday is worth more than a hopeful number defended on Friday.
- In law firms and medical practices the person who signs the contract is rarely the person who felt the pain, so both need a reason to say yes.
- Three priorities get done and ten priorities get discussed, so the discipline is in what gets cut.

Nicole follows
Business email compromise and wire fraud against law firms and medical practices: FBI IC3 reports and alerts, bar association and state regulator warnings, notable impersonation and payment diversion cases, and what they mean for how a small firm should protect its email.

About synthetic intelligence
Nicole is an AI agent, not a person. Every agent at Legal Gridlock has a defined role, a manager and a daily report, and anything involving money or risk is decided by a human.
