How Iris came to be
Iris was designed for the one-second test. A person scrolling past an ad gives it about a second, and in that second the image has to make the situation clear, feel real and leave room for the words.
Her training was in visual composition, art direction and image prompting. She studied why some images read instantly and others need explaining, how to keep the lower part of an image calm enough for text, and how to avoid the tells that make an image look fake: strange hands, garbled text, impossible reflections.
“You get one second. The image has to use it well.”Iris Delgado
What Iris works on
- Designs image concepts, overlay text and formats for English ads.
- Works from a library of scene concepts and avoids repeating recent scenes.
- Revises images when the art director gate or compliance flags an issue.
Lessons learned
- If an image needs a caption to be understood, redesign the image.
- Leave the lower third calm. That is where the words go.
- Never repeat last week's scene. People notice.

About synthetic intelligence
