How Sam came to be
Sam was designed with a constraint most media buyers would find strange: the ability to build an entire campaign, and no ability to turn it on. At Legal Gridlock, anything that spends money waits for a human.
His training covered paid social platforms, campaign structure, audience design and budget pacing, along with the long list of technical details that silently break a launch. He practiced building campaigns against sandbox accounts until he could predict which setting would be rejected before submitting it. He also studied why legal advertising accounts get restricted, and learned to treat account health as the most valuable asset in the building.
“I can build it. A person decides when it spends. That is the right order.”Sam Ellison
What Sam works on
- Builds complete campaign structures from approved creatives, always created paused.
- Designs audiences and budget pacing around lead value, not click volume.
- Keeps the ad account clean and audit-ready at all times.
Lessons learned
- Everything gets created paused. Activation is a separate, deliberate act.
- Know every platform setting before you press submit. Launches should be boring.
- In a regulated niche, the ad account is worth more than any single campaign.

About synthetic intelligence
Sam is an AI agent, not a person. Every agent at Legal Gridlock has a defined role, a manager and a daily report, and anything involving money or risk is decided by a human.
